Fiji sevens rugby stars Filipe Sauturaga and Joseva Talacolo showcased their talent on the field, leading their team Chennai Bulls to a convincing 21-7 victory over Delhi Reds in the inaugural Rugby Premier League sevens competition in India yesterday.

As the competition progressed into its third day, the performances of Fijian players continued to captivate the audience.

Playmaker Iowane Teba, representing the Bengaluru Bravehearts, faced a tough defeat against the DJ Forbes-coached Hyderabad side, with a scoreline of 43-7.

Fiji’s Joji Nasova, a key player for the Hyderabad Heroes, made an immediate impact by scoring the opening try.

The team demonstrated a strong display of skill and teamwork, with Terio Tamani also contributing with his Fijian flair to support the side.

Nasova, hailing from Ba, played a pivotal role in securing the win for his team by scoring his second try, which proved to be the final try of the match.

Coach DJ Forbes expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and commended the players for their dedication and hard work.

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Bravehearts and Hyderabad Heroes will take a break today, while Chennai Bulls gear up to face the Kalinga Black Tigers in an upcoming match at 2am.
