THE Extra Supermarket Labasa football side has maintained its lead at the top of the Extra Premier League after a 6-nil thumping win over Nasinu in round 10 yesterday.

The 2025 BiC Fiji FACT Champions scored three goals on either side of half-time.

Labasa’s goals were scored by Ashnil Raju, Jibson Abana, Ilisoni Lolaivalu (2), Ratu Anare and Rusiate Doidoi.

Top players Anish Khem and Christopher Wasasala missed the match due to injuries and suspension respectively.

The win sees Labasa lead the EPL standings with 26 points.

Rewa, which thumped Tavua 3-nil yesterday maintains its second spot with 25 points.

Navua has now moved to third on the ladder after edging Suva 1-nil at the Uprising Sports Complex in Pacific Habour yesterday.

Babs Khan made his debut as the new Navua coach as Sairusi Nalaubu slotted in the winner in the 13th minute. Namosi high chief Ratu Suliano Matonitabua was present at the game to guide his Navua side, a team which had featured for in the late 80s and early 90s.

Two games will be played today. Ba hosts Nadi at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Ba while Nadroga battles Lautoka at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka at 1pm.

The Extra Premier League will take a break after today’s games for the mid-season transfer window which opens tomorrow.

The EPL will resume in the first week of July.

The resumption will see a top of the table clash between Labasa and Rewa at Subrail Park.
