Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed the passing away of Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Vatimi Rayalu.
In a statement, he said the Minister for Health, Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu, has advised him of the death.
“I also wish to confirm that Cabinet and Government will respect the wishes of the family and his vanua in observing the protocols and customs relating to the sad and untimely death of Mr Rayalu,” said Mr Rabuka.
“Please keep Vasiti and the family in your prayers in this very sad and difficult time.”
Mr Rayalu passed away last night after he was rushed to the CWM due to a sudden illness.
