SACRIFICES in the pursuit for greatness have been made by the players of Stratum Construction Suva FC ahead of their 2025 BiC Fiji FACT semi-final clash against Ajay Trading Rewa FC this afternoon.

The Brian Singh coached-side has been hard at work throughout the week, being away from their loved ones and overcoming setbacks such as the changing weather conditions for instance.

Club president Nitin Singh shared this, adding the preparations for today’s match were going well.

“Preparation is going good, but the weather is playing a major part, this week it’s been raining heavily here in Suva so it was difficult for us to get the ground,” Singh shared.

“But they have training, we try and carry on from where we left.”

The team would have carried on from where they were last Sunday evening, when they defeated Bula Rentals & Tours Nadi FC 5-0 in their final Group B match.

The scoreline was the biggest margin set throughout the tournament in its first three days, with Ni-Vanuatu striker Joe Moses scoring two goals.

Singh stated Moses’ inclusion saw him become an integral part of the team.

“He’s a very instrumental part of the team and also he’s probably in the run for the Golden Boot,” he said.

Moses led the Golden Boot race with four goals while Lautoka’s Saula Waqa is second with three goals and Navua’s Sairusi Nalaubu and Labasa’s Rusiate Doidoi sharing third place with two goals each.

Meanwhile, as they walk onto the field against Rewa, Singh understands the strength and range of competition the Rodicks Singh coached side will bring when the match kicks off.

“We know that Rewa will come out strong, but we are preparing well for them and hopefully the result will come our way,” he said.

As the clock ticks to the 2pm showdown, Singh has called on Suva fans to turn up in numbers and in white for the high stakes clash.

The semi-finals take place at the HFC Bank Stadium. The second semi-final will see Lautoka play Labasa at 4.30pm. The final is scheduled for 3pm tomorrow.
