FijiCare Insurance processed more than 176,000 medical claims in 2024 and paid out over $22 million to its members, reinforcing its position as the country’s largest medical insurer.

FijiCare chief operating officer Krishika Narayan shared the figures during the opening of the Fiji Medical Association (FMA) Mini Conference 2025 last weekend.

“FijiCare is proud to be the largest medical insurer in Fiji,” Ms Narayan said.

“In 2024 alone, we processed over 176,000 medical claims obligations and paid more than $22m in claims to support our insured members,” she said.

“For more than 30 years, FijiCare has been committed to providing trusted health, life, motor, micro and general insurance products, helping individuals, families and businesses feel secure across our beloved nation.”

Ms Narayan also revealed plans to launch a new multi-million-dollar medical facility in partnership with the MIOT International Hospital.

“This includes a state-of-the-art cardiac and interventional radiology centre located in the heart of Suva-Nausori corridor, a multi million-dollar project in collaboration with MIOT International hospital.

“The FijiCare group is actively working to raise healthcare standards throughout Fiji.

“Our new medical centres in Samabula and Nadi will be opening soon, and that would be providing outpatient and diagnostic services to more communities.

“We are also excited to introduce our latest initiative, MIOT Pacific Diagnostics, which now provides accessible lab services to all Fijians.”

Ms Narayan said the company was also committed to supporting medical education and professional development.

“We look forward to supporting medical education, continuous training and innovative initiatives that empower Fiji’s healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional care,” she said.
