The pool draws for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 has been made, and the Fiji Football side has found itself with the sport’s major nations.
Called the Baby Bula Boys, the national side who will be competing at the U17 world cup for the first time.
They are in Group D with Argentina, Belgium and Tunisia.
“Tough pool,” Fiji Football Association chief executive Mohammed Yusuf stated.
“All pools are very strong with football power house countries evenly distributed. This is a historic moment for these U17 players playing in the world cup.”
The draw took place in Doha on Sunday, with the help of assistants Julian Draxler, who won the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ with Germany, and former Qatar U-17 player Abdulaziz Al Sulaiti.
The newly expanded tournament will feature 48 nations for the first time. They were drawn into 12 groups of four teams.
Mouthwatering match ups include a blockbuster battle between Belgium and Argentina, hosts Qatar facing Italy, and defending champions Germany taking on Colombia.
