SEVENS rugby legend and World Rugby hall of famer Waisale Serevi is Pacific Energy’s new brand ambassador.

At the official announcement at the Pacific Energy Fiji’s head office in Suva yesterday, Pacific Energy’s chief executive officer Stephane Cadel expressed his gratitude in announcing Pacific Energy’s partnership with Serevi.

“Today I am pleased to announce that we will be engaging one of the world’s greatest sevens player Waisale Serevi to be the official brand ambassador of Pacific Energy.

“It’s a great honour for Pacific Energy as Waisale embodies our core values, particularly our motto, ‘We Are Who You Are’,” Mr Cadel said.

He said Pacific Energy is confident that Serevi’s involvement would assist the fuel and energy service provider promote their message across local communities including the region.

“We fully support the ‘Say No To Drugs’ campaign that he (Serevi) and his team will be leading and we recognise the critical importance of this initiative for our Fijian society.

“We are proud to welcome Waisale Serevi to our family through a three-year partnership. We believe this collaboration will open up new opportunities for growth and strengthen our presence in the region,” he said.

Serevi said he was honoured to be approached as brand ambassador for Pacific Energy.

“We didn’t even know that we would be having this partnership signed today but I thank God for the opportunity, especially for Pacific Energy to support the program.

“The Serevi Academy of Rugby’s ‘Stay Strong, Say No To Drugs’, giving back to the community I think that’s important for me. So, we’re here to witness this partnership for the things that we are doing,” Serevi said.

Pacific Energy chief marketing officer Amit Maharaj said there was a lot planned out to achieve within the duration of their partnership

“Mr Serevi has great influence for his fight against drugs and aiming it specifically at the children is a great cause. For us in this collaboration, we’d be able to reach out and showcase our motto ‘We Are Who You Are’ at the same time allow our customers to engage with Mr Serevi directly.

“So, it’s a collaboration where we want to enhance both parties together for the three years.”
