THE Kaiviti Silktails have named their 21-member squad to face the Wests Tigers in round 12 of the NRL Jersey Flegg Cup competition this Saturday.
The two teams have met twice in the previous season of the competition, with the Wests Tigers winning both meetings.
On Saturday, August 31, 2024, the Wests Tigers beat the Silktails 32-0 and prior to that on Saturday, March 9, 2024, they also beat them 38-20.
The Silktails and Tigers head into this round following a bye last week, and having lost their respective round 10 matches.
The Silktails lost 6-14 to the Sydney Rabbitohs and the Wests Tigers were defeated 20-40 by the Penrith Panthers.
Following this weekend’s match, the Silktails face the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Churchill Park in Lautoka on May 31 and meet the St George Illawarra Dragons in Wollongong, Australia on June 7.
This will be their second encounter between the Silktails and Bulldogs since the former defeated the latter round three on March 22 with 23-22 victory.
The Jersey Flegg Cup competition will continue until the end of August.
Meanhile, the match against the Wests Tigers will kick off at 12pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka this Saturday.
