THE Swire Shipping Fijian Drua ended their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific home campaign on a high with a dominant 38-7 victory over the Western Force in Lautoka yesterday, a performance that left head coach Glen Jackson emotional and full of pride.

Reflecting on the convincing win, Jackson described it as a fitting farewell for the Drua players who are leaving the club and a reward for the team’s perseverance throughout the season.

“It’s been a year, I think, in which performance has been building,” Jackson said after the match.

“I haven’t had everything go my way the whole year, and I’m just really stoked for the boys that are leaving the club.

“It was a great way to finish at home.”

The coach acknowledged the tough lead-up to the match, particularly the previous week’s loss to the Blues, but said the team responded well.

“This whole week has been a great preparation after that disappointing loss,” he added. “It sort of shows that as a club, we’re hopefully going forward.”

Jackson also paid tribute to his loyal players, highlighting the leadership of Tevita Ikanivere.

“I just want to thank people like Tevita Ikanivere and the effort they’ve put into the club.”

He reserved a heartfelt message for the Drua faithful, many of whom turned out in full voice to support their team in what was their final home fixture of the season.

“It’s not easy for fans to come out every week, especially with the ups and downs of rugby,” Jackson said.

Meanwhile, Western Force head coach Simon Cron admitted his side fell short.

“It’s a disappointing game,” Cron said.

The Drua are on a bye next week and play their final match of the season against the Reds on May 31.
