DEFENDING champions Lautoka football has found itself drawn in a difficult pool for the upcoming BiC Fiji FACT.

Lautoka is in Pool A with Rewa, Ba and Navua.

Extra Premier League table toppers Labasa heads Pool B with Nadroga, Nadi and hosts Suva.

The draws were done yesterday at the Fiji Football Academy in Vatuwaqa in the presence of sponsors Janty Kanvan and Fiji FA staff.

Fiji FA vice-president Yogeshwar Singh highlighted the intense competition at the national league which served as the qualifier to the Fiji FACT.

He also reminded all players that the Fiji FACT is a drug-free tournament.

“A reminder to all teams is that we will continue to have drug tests during the tournament. This is a continued incentive to keep the sport drug free so, the message is to refrain from drugs, and we would like to have a drug free, clean tournament,” he said.

The winners of Fiji FACT will get $17,000, runner-up $5,000 and the losing semi-finalists will receive $2,500.

The tournament is slated to be held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva from May 30 to June 1 for the group stages.

The semi-finals and final will be held from June 7-8.
