EXCITEMENT is building as the 2025 Fiji National Rugby League’s Vodafone Cup competition was officially launched yesterday at the Vodafone Headquarters in Tamavua.
With a total of 24 teams participating, including 16 from the east and 8 from the west, anticipation is high for what promises to be an exciting season.
Fiji National Rugby League chairperson Akuila Masi expressed his gratitude for the continued growth and success of the premier domestic rugby league competition.
He highlighted the significance of rugby league in Fiji, not just as a sport but as a way of life that unites communities and people across the country.
“Rugby League is more than a sport in Fiji, it is a way of life, a source of identity, and a bridge that connects our villages, our provinces and our people,” said Masi.
“I would like to thank Vodafone Fiji, our naming rights sponsor, for your unwavering support, your partnership allows us to create opportunities, build pathways and expand the reach of rugby league across the country.”
The competition is set to kick off on Saturday at Bidesi and Buckhurst.
