IT’LL be all cards on deck for the Blues when they take on the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua under the Friday night lights at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Currently sitting at seventh place on the standings, a win would strengthen their position of making the top six.

However, the Patrick Tuipulotu-captained side knows it won’t be a walk in the park playing the Drua at home.

“This is very important because it puts us in a good step for where we want to be in terms of finals footy. We’ve got to get bonus points to help us in our run to get to the finals so yeah, it’ll be very important,” Tuipulotu said after the team’s captain’s run yesterday.

Although the Auckland-based club have tasted victory on Fijian soil before, this will be their first run at Fiji’s capital.

While it won’t be as hot at night as it is in the day, the biggest factor they still have to tackle is the noise from a raucous crowd.

“We were watching on television, and I think the crowd is awesome here. I know they support both sides; the atmosphere will be quite influential in how the game goes.

“I know from watching especially last week, the Drua had their run in the last two minutes to win, the crowd is pretty loud and supportive so I know they will play a big part, they’ll make the atmosphere pretty good and playing here very fun,” he added.

The two team square off tonight at 7.05pm.
