A US woman is a contender for the world’s worst flatmate, after she was caught on hidden camera spitting and spraying glass cleaner into her roommates’ food.
The video featuring Hayley King was recorded in early February and appears to show her spitting in multiple containers of food that was stored in a refrigerator in the off-campus house she shared with two other women students.
According to a report filed by the Columbia Police Department she can also be seen spraying glass cleaner on food and pouring it in food containers. The 22-year-old has been charged with unlawful, malicious tampering with human drug product or food. She faces up to 20 years jail if convicted.
It’s understood King and her roommates had “multiple altercations” in the weeks prior to the incident. The women told police they had been trying to get King to move out because of the fights, but she had refused to leave.
King’s roommates told police they were worried about what she may have been doing at their house while they were away, so they set up hidden cameras inside the home.
