THE 50th anniversary of the Fiji Finals also known as the Coca Cola Games is more than just athletics.
These were the words of Minister for Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru who was the chief guest of the 2025 Coke Games.
Saukuru while acknowledging that this is a competition, also called for fair and clean games as the pinnacle event reached a milestone.
“This is a historic moment, it is a celebration of discipline, resilience, team spirit and youth excellence.
“It is a celebration of 50 years of empowering young people, our young Fijians through sport,” he said during his speech.
Saukuru also reflected on the humble beginnings of what has now become the biggest secondary schools’ athletics meet.
