Fiji Sports Council will now require all media personnel to possess a pass signed by its Acting Chief Executive Officer, Gilbert Vakalalabure if they want to enter any Fiji Sports Council-managed facility.

The Council said this measure takes immediate effect and is introduced to ensure better coordination and security across all our venues.

The Fiji Sports Council will now need to approve any livestream from within any of its venues – excluding its recognised television broadcast partners.

“This is to safeguard the rights of all stakeholders and maintain the integrity of official event coverage,” said the Council.

“We, therefore, kindly request all Newsrooms, media organisations, and independent media personnel to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) at their earliest convenience.”

“This will enable us to process media verification and accreditation in a timely and efficient manner.”
