RC Manubhai Group director Bhavesh Kumar has been appointed as a non-executive director of Vision Investments Limited.
Vision Investments Limited announced the appointment in a market announcement issued by the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) on Friday.
According to Vision Investments, Mr Kumar is being nominated as a director by the significant shareholder RC Manubhai and Co Pte Limited.
“Mr Kumar is a director of RC Manubhai Group and a proven entrepreneur with in-depth experience in commerce, retailing, logistics and manufacturing,” the company stated.
Mr Kumar holds a degree in Computer Science from the Auckland University in New Zealand.
His appointment comes into effect on April 22, 2025.
The company said they welcomed the additional skills Mr Kumar would bring to the board.
Mr Kumar replaces outgoing non-executive director Dinesh Patel who had resigned.
“Mr Patel’s resignation is part of a larger succession plan to ensure the entrepreneurial leadership provided by the Foundation Directors continue with the appointment of the next generation of directors with proven skills and capabilities,” the company stated.
“The chairman and the board of directors have accepted the resignation and express their sincere thanks to Mr Patel for the valuable contribution he made to the growth of the company and to the deliberations of the board, since the acquisition of the company by the Vision Group beginning 2006.”
Mr Patel is part owner and managing director of RC Manubhai & Co Pte Limited, which holds a 17.63 per cent shareholding in Vision Investments Ltd.
