A video circulated on social media shows two men firing gun shots in a residential area.
The area is not identified but its is understood that this is a military training with a notice made public earlier this week.
However, residents are seen standing around a compound watching the training session.
The video shows training of live firing exercise taking place in the Nausori Highlands, Bukuya area, Narere, Nakasi and Davuilevu.
An advisory issued yesterday by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces stated that the exercise would be conducted yesterday and today, and people living nearby were advised to stay clear of the area during the training.
Authorities have reminded the public to remain calm and follow safety instructions.
