In an era of evolving threats, the Fiji Military Forces remains steadfast to its constitutional mandate to safeguard Fiji’s national security.

Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Major-General Jone Kalouniwai made the comments while closing the  6th and 8th FIR Battalion Annual Camp Exercise in Nasinu on Friday.

“We are not just an institution that responds to crises; we are a force that prepares, strategizes, and leads with foresight,” he said.

“The roadmap we forge today strengthens our national defense, enhances regional partnerships, and ensures that the RFMF remains a pillar of strength for our nation.”

“This is not the end of our journey; it is the beginning of a stronger, more resilient, and future-ready force.’

“The skills honed, the lessons learned, and the partnerships strengthened will form the foundation of our continued success.”
