A picture has emerged on social media last night that shows members of the opposition who voted against the Constitution Amendment Bill 2025 having a yaqona session at the residence of fellow opposition MP, Sanjay Kirpal.
Mr Kirpal had voted for the Constitution Amendment Bill 2025 at the first reading last week and did not vote last night that resulted in the defeat of the Bill.
All members of the former Fiji First party are seen at the yaqona session except for Premila Kimar, Sachida Nand and Shalen Kumar.
Mr Nand and Mr Kumar had voted for the Constitution Amendment Bill 2025.
Leader of Opposition Inia Seruiratu and Deputy Leader of Opposition, Praveen Bala were also present.
