For a second day today, Fiji Airways has cancelled its flight to Brisbane due to ongoing impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred there.
In a travel advisory, the airline states it is currently planning to operate a service on Saturday, 8 March 2025, subject to clearance from Brisbane Airport Authorities.
“Passengers booked on affected flights will be re-accommodated on the next available service,” said Fiji Airways.
Yesterday, Fiji Airways also cancelled its flight to Brisbane due to the expected landfall of Cyclone Alfred in Brisbane.
Brisbane Airport said yesterday more than 320 flights have been cancelled at Brisbane Airport.
The last flight to land at the airport yesterday was Virgin Australia Flight 1246, scheduled to arrive from Rockhampton at 4 p.m., after which all flights will be grounded for the rest of the day.
