The sub-junior and junior athletes of Adi Cakobau School team are poised to shine at this year’s Tripple N zone meet and Coca Cola games following their participation in the inter-house competition at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, yesterday.
The Sawani girl’s is determined to improve upon their performance this year highly anticipated Coca Cola games, after finishing third in the competition.
Media Officer Ravuama Latilevu expressed satisfaction with the competition, highlighting the great results achieved by the girls through their dedicated efforts.
“We had a great competition, we have been getting a lot of great results and the girls really doing their best,” said Latilevu.
“For this year we are planning after this (inter-house), our team of coaches and managers will look in to forming a team to defend our Tripple N title, and for the main event with is the Coca Cola games.
Even though the school may not have as many well-known athletes this year due to the graduation of senior students, they are excited about the emergence of promising young talents.
“I know that this year we don’t have any more household names for our school, last year we won our senior grade, so they have completed their year-13, so they have moved on to tertiary institution’s.
“This year we are happy to see that we have so many raw talents coming up, and for ACS, our sub-junior and juniors are the ones that will shine on tracks and field.”
The school is grateful for the continuous support from the ACS OG association and acknowledges the contribution of former athlete Makelesi Bulikiobo for coaching and guiding the athletes towards their goals this year.
