Tropical disturbance 05F will pass Southwest of Fiji on Wednesday with no direct impact on the country.
Fiji Meteorological Service is keeping TD05F as a tropical disturbance, adding chances of it to develop into a cyclone in the 24 to 48 hours is now moderate.
TD05F was located 300 km North of New Caledonia and is tracking East-South-eastward at 26 km/h over the past 6 hours.
The forecast is that after 36 hours, significant dry air will cause TD05F to weaken as the system passes Southwest of Fiji.
The Joint Typhoon Warning Center has this morning stated TD05F has attained category one tropical cyclone strength with wind gusts of 80km/ph.
