I fully agree with Ronnie Chang’s letter dated 2/2/15 about the Enamanu Cemetery. It’s all left to the public to dig graves within the cemetery.
In some places, there are no markings to indicate that someone was buried previously and for how long.
A few times we have dug up old bones while digging a grave for our church members. Of course, we made sure that the bones were handled with respect.
This is truly a sad state of affairs.
I wonder who is responsible for providing a cemetery for the public?
And who should be providing oversight? The council, government or religious bodies?
This should be made clear and action taken urgently.
The dead should really be left to rest in peace.
