THE Fiji Airways Fiji men’s 7s team has been drawn in the same pool with New Zealand at the HSBC Perth 7s later this month.
The pool draws for Perth were done yesterday at the HBF Park venue signalling for teams and fans to get set for the third round of the 2025 World Sevens Series from January 24-26.
Series points leader Fiji and New Zealand are in Pool C with newly promoted Kenya and Uruguay.
Hosts Australia make up pool A together with reigning SVNS league winners Argentina, Cape Town champions South Africa and the USA.
2024 Olympic gold medallist France is in pool B alongside Spain, Great Britain and Ireland.
Looking at the women’s division, Fijiana is in pool B with Paris Olympic silver and bronze medallists Canada and the USA respectively along with Great Britain.
Women’s Olympic champions New Zealand will face Japan, Ireland and Brazil in pool A.
Hosts and HSBC SVNS 2024 Champions Australia are in pool C with France, China and Spain.
The match schedule for the tournament will be released at a later date.
