The whole of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu and Yasawa and Mamanuca groups is now under a heavy rain alert.
The Fiji Meteorological Service states in latest special weather bulletin, a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain affects the Western and Northern parts of Fiji.
“It is expected to gradually spread over the rest of the country by tomorrow,” states Fiji Met.
The forecast is for occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Fiji Met adds possible impacts will include isolated flash flooding of low-lying areas, wet roads and reduced visibility for drivers.
