Ba town flooded due to heavy rain, flood warning remains for Ba, Tavua & Rakiraki

The Ba town is currently flooded due to heavy rain associated with tropical disturbance 01F.

Flood waters entered the town at around 3:00am and its expected flooding will remain as there is a high tide at 6:00am.

The Fiji Meteorological Service states a flash flood warning remains in force for all low lying, flash flood prone areas and small streams for Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki.

Tropical disturbance 01F was located about 80km Northwest of Moala at 3am today and continue to move eastwards at 20km/hr away from the group.

The associated trough of low pressure with cloud and rain continues to affect the country until later today.
