Danger of flooding remains throughout Fiji – Fiji Met

A flash flood warning remains in force for all low lying, flash flood prone areas and small streams for Western and Northern division.

A flash flood alert remains in force for all low lying, flash flood prone areas and small streams for central eastern division.

The Nadi weather office states an active trough of low pressure with associated clouds and rain remains slow moving over the Northeastern parts of Fiji and is expected to affect the group until Monday.

“Meanwhile, another trough of low pressure is anticipated approach and affect the group from tomorrow,” states Fiji Met.

Fiji Met adds there will be flooding in drainages, small streams, roads, properties and low-lying areas.

“Majority of low-lying areas of sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki is still under water.”
