A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji group.
The Fiji Meteorological Service states an active trough of low pressure with associated clouds and rain remains slow moving over the Northeastern parts of Fiji and is expected to affect the group until Monday.
“Meanwhile, another trough of low pressure is anticipated to approach and affect the group from tomorrow,” states Fiji Met.
“Rain anticipated to reintensify from later tonight over of Viti Levu. Localised heavy falls with thunderstorms may lead to flash flooding of low-lying areas and flood prone areas.’
Areas under the heavy rain warning are Yasawa and Mamanuca Groups, Northern Division, Ra-Rakiraki, Northern Ba-Ra, interior Ra, Naitasiri & Serua-Namosi, interior Ba, interior Nadroga/Navosa, greater Suva-Nausori-Tailevu areas, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
