THE Extra Supermarket Rewa football team has a tough task on its hand in the 2025 OFC Men’s Championship League.
Rewa, representing Fiji has been placed in Group A alongside powerhouse clubs from New Zealand, Tahiti and New Caledonia.
Group B consists of teams from Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and the eventual winner of the qualifying tournament.
The official draw took place earlier this month at the OFC Home of football, Te Kahu o Kiwa in Auckland, New Zealand.
The qualifying tournament will be held in the Cook Islands from February 8-14.
Three teams will compete including Royal Puma FC of American Samoa, Vaipuna SC of Samoa and Tupapa Maraerenga FC from the Cook Islands.
The winner will secure the last spot in Group B.
The OFC Men’s Championship League is set to take place in Honiara, Solomon Islands, from March 30 to April 12.
It is Oceania’s top club competition, bringing together champions from across the region.
The OFC Champions League 2025 was originally set to take place in Fiji. No Fiji team has ever managed to win the tourney while Ba, Suva, Nadi and Lautoka have featured in the finals.
