The Fiji Police Force as they have issued restrictions on movements in Nadi town tonight.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACPO) Livai Driu said Nadi Town is badly affected by the continuous rain, and Police will monitor all movements.
“This is for the safety of all Fijians and security of Central Business Area of Nadi. This is also done to protect the properties in town from opportunists,” said ACP Driu.
He said Police standby teams have already started evacuating people from disaster areas and will continue to be on standby tonight.
The Fiji Police Force will continue to monitor situations in the flooded areas of the Western Division.
