HEADING to the island of Vatulele for the second year in a row, the Vuda Green rugby sevens team is ready to take on the competition at the Mick’s Fiji Tours & Transfers Vatulele 7s, which starts today.

The team travelled from Lautoka to be part of the two-day tournament with players hoping to gain experience from it and in future tournaments around the country.

Team manager Vatili Tora elaborated on their preparation for the Vatulele tournament.

“It took us three weeks to prepare for this tournament and this is also our second trip to Vatulele for it as well,” Tora stated.

In the two-day tourney, Tora highlighted the vital targets the side aimed to achieve through their participation.

“We are going to try our very best to reach the cup quarter final stages,” he said.

He acknowledged the backing of the team’s families and supporters in helping them make the journey to Vatulele for the tournament.

Vuda Green is grouped in Pool 5 with Wai Rugby Club 1, Lami Cavaliers and JSF Malolo.
