Young boxing talent Emmanuel Jireh Ligaloa is preparing to take his skills to the next level as he migrates to New Zealand to further his career.

Fresh from a golden victory in the Sub Junior Grade for the Fiji Armature boxing Golden Gloves competition that was held at Cdr Stan Brown Boxing Gym, Walu Bay, Ligaloa is determined to continue shining in the ring and proving himself on an international stage.

What made his recent win even more remarkable was his triumph over one of the most dominant fighters in the competition, Lui Lepolo.

Lepolo, known for winning all his matches, was considered unbeatable, until Ligaloa stepped into the ring.

“Winning that fight gave me the confidence to keep aiming higher,” Ligaloa said.

The move to New Zealand is not just about a fresh start but an opportunity to train at a higher level and face even greater challenges.

His journey into boxing began with inspiration from his father, who introduced him to the sport.

“My dad has always been my reason for boxing,” he shared.

Even as he plans to leave, Ligaloa remains grateful for his coach, who has been a constant motivator.

“My coach always tells me to push harder, to believe in myself. Those words drive me every day,” he said.

As he embarks on this new chapter, Ligaloa is confident that his discipline and determination will help him maintain his momentum.

By defeating one of the competition’s strongest fighters and preparing to move to a land of greater opportunities, Emmanuel Jireh Ligaloa is proving he has what it takes to make an impact both in and out of the ring.
