Military Commander Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai has been awarded the French National Order of Merit.
It was conferred by General Thierry Burkhard, Chief of the Defence Staff of France, during an official ceremony in Paris.
This recognition as a Chevalier (Knight) of the Order recognises Major General Kalouniwai’s exemplary leadership and Fiji’s significant contributions to global peacekeeping and international diplomacy.
General Burkhard commended Major General Kalouniwai’s commitment to peace and his role in promoting international collaboration.
Commander RFMF expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, calling it a milestone for the RFMF and the nation.
