Ro Teimumu Kepa, the paramount chief of the Burebasaga Confederacy and Na Gone Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi has welcomed the appointment of the Turaga na Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu as President.
She said Ratu Naiqama wasn’t a stranger to national leadership.
“’He has eminently demonstrated his abilities over the years, up until being Speaker of Parliament recently,” she said.
“I am certain that he will seamlessly fill in the shoes left behind by his predecessor and carry on the torch of national unity following his ascension to the Office of the President.”
