“I wish it was me instead”, boxer Sebastian “Sniper” Singh has said on the passing of his brother, Ubayd Haider, formerly known as Nathan Singh.
Haider lost by TKO to Australia-based Runqi Zhou during their IBO Asia Pacific Super Featherweight title fight on 26 October.
The 25-year-old boxer collapsed after the fight and was admitted to Lautoka Aspen Hospital on the same night and had been in hospital since then, until his death yesterday.
“Isa my bro, you really broke my heart. I wish it was me instead,” said Sebastin Singh.
“Sa mosimosi saraga noqu rosi. You will forever be in my heart. Your legacy will live on. Love you my bro.”
Mr Haider’s body will be at the FMF Gymnasium between 3pm-5pm on Tuesday 12th November and final rites will be at Raralevu cemetery at 8:30pm.
