Kativerata rings changes

The Vodafone Fiji Bati head coach, Wise Kativerata, has revealed the squad that will take on the Cook Islands in the second round of the Pacific Bowl this Saturday.

James Valevatu has named to start as hooker, replacing Penioni Tagituimua, who moves to the bench.

Veteran hooker Joe Lovodua will likely be on reserve, adding strength to the forward pack if needed.

Young forward Kylan Mafoa is expected to make his much-anticipated debut, taking his place on the interchange bench alongside other key impact players.

The starting backline remains unchanged, as coach Kativerata retains faith in his regulars.

Sunia Turuva, Maika Sivo and Michael Jennings will spearhead the attack, with Waqa Blake, Semi Valemei, Kevin Naiqama and Kurt Donoghoe completing a potent backline that promises to keep the opposition on their toes.

Capatin Tui Kamikamica will lead the charge from the forwards, alongside powerhouse forward Viliame Kikau, ensuring a formidable challenge for the Cook Islands.

The match kicks off at 8.10pm at the HFC Bank Stadium. Prior to the match the Fiji Bulikula will face off the Cook Islands at 6pm in a World qualifying match.
