Plan is under way for a grand celebration in Labasa to honour the win of its soccer team.
The Labasa Football’s president Raiyaz Khan said they were currently seeking approval for a permit to host the event, which will likely take place in the town centre.
“We want everyone to join in and celebrate this win,” he said.
Khan said organisers were working hard to set up the celebration for this Saturday.
“We want this to be a celebration for everyone who supported us throughout the tournament. It’s important to acknowledge the fans and the community’s role in our success.”
He said further information regarding the celebration would be released later.
