THE Fiji Tech Summit is not just another event, it represents a significant milestone in the Pacific’s technological journey.
DATEC chairman Isikeli Tikoduadua highlighted this in his welcoming address at the Fiji Tech Summit 2024 in Nadi yesterday with the theme “Connecting Pacific”.
“For the past two years, we witnessed the largest technology event for the Pacific, where we connected with global tech giants and laid the foundation for our technological road-map,” Mr Tikoduadua said.
“The event was made possible by the dedicated team at Datec and our global partners who committed to delivering the best in technology to Fiji and the Pacific.
“As we all know, technology remains the prime enabler for change in our ever-evolving world.
“It has allowed us to connect, innovate, and adapt, even in the face of unprecedented challenges.
“As the Island Nations, what we can do is to ensure that we meet and exceed the economic and productivity aspirations.
“It lies on the continuing march of technology and moving towards a more digital economy.”
Mr Tikoduadua said technological innovation was key to growth in productivity and prosperity.
“The Fiji Tech Summit is a great platform to accelerate the Digital transformation journey that is happening in Fiji and the South Pacific.
“We currently have organisations that are at various stages of digital transformation adoption, and it is our collective responsibility to accelerate this transformation, fostering innovation and continuous growth.
“To our vendors, your participation in the exhibition is invaluable. Thank you for providing opportunities for delegates to connect directly with you and better understand the unique needs of Pacific customers. Your commitment to advancing technology in the Pacific is deeply appreciated.”
