TOURISM Fiji has been awarded a Silver Award at the recent Australian Effie Awards, securing its place as a standout performer in the travel, media, and leisure category.

In a statement, the Fijian Government’s tourism marketing arm said the award was given for the ‘Where Happiness Comes Naturally’ brand positioning and was the only winner in its category.

“The Effie’s are one of the most coveted awards in marketing, recognise advertising that is not only creative but also delivers measurable, effective results,” Tourism Fiji stated.

“Winning this award among brands with significantly larger budgets and global reach is a remarkable achievement for Fiji, highlighting the strength of the destination’s brand and the impact of its global marketing and media strategy.”

Tourism Fiji’s chief marketing officer Srishti Narayan said it was an extra special Fiji Day for them at Tourism Fiji.

“Not only because we celebrated the beauty and culture of our island home but also because we took home a Silver Effie Award for our ‘Where Happiness Comes Naturally’ campaign, a campaign that puts our people and culture at the forefront,” Ms Narayan said.

She said this recognition was a testament to the hard work and creativity of their marketing team, creative and media agency, the wider Tourism Fiji team, and the entire industry for embracing its brand positioning.

“We couldn’t be prouder, and this win reinforces our commitment to bringing the spirit of Fiji to traveller’s everywhere.”

“Where Happiness Comes Naturally” has been in market since the end of 2022, and focuses on the authentic culture, experiences and natural beauty of Fiji.

“Since launching, it has delivered incredible results with all campaign metrics surpassing benchmarks for the industry and various media platforms, driven increased traffic to the Tourism Fiji website, and alongside wider initiatives across the industry has helped deliver record visitor arrivals to Fiji.”
