A trough of low pressure lies over the group and another trough of low pressure is expected to affect the group from Thursday.
The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says associated cloud affects the eastern parts of the country.
As for the forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over Navua, Suva, Nausori, Tailevu North, Serua, Namosi, Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki, southern Bua, eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Elsewhere, cloudy periods with showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or evening. Isolated heavy falls expected.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flash flood prone areas.
Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds and oderate to rough seas.
