New players to carry Nadroga’s hopes at IDC

New players are set to be developed ahead of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) as Nadroga FC gears up for the competition.

Nadroga FC manager Ravinesh Reddy said the side anticipated an exhilarating series of matches in this year’s tournament.

“We are looking at a good pool match, still got time to work with the players and come ready before the IDC,” Reddy said.

In the super premier division of the competition, eight elite teams will battle it out for supremacy.

“As we prepare for the matches ahead, the team is focusing on honing the skills of new, young talents in the squad,” he said.

“These promising players are undergoing intensive training to ensure they are ready to compete at their best in the FMF IDC tournament.

“Also I like to thank FMF for their sponsorship of the tournament, and also to our fans for backing us up from day one.”

The draw has placed Nadroga FC in Group B, where they will face tough and intense competition against Ba FC, Rewa FC, and Nadi FC.

Meanwhile, Group A features formidable teams such as Lautoka FC, Labasa FC, Navua FC, and Suva FC.

In the senior division, teams will be split into two groups, Group A will feature Rakiraki FC, Seaqaqa, Dreketi FC, while Group B consists of Northland Tailevu FC, Taveuni and Nadogo FC.

The premier division also promises high levels of competition, Lami FC, Bua FC, and Nasinu FC in Group A, while Tavua FC, Savusavu and Tailevu Naitasiri FC are in Group B.

The 2024 IDC tournament is set to take place at Churchill Park in Lautoka from the 15-20 of this month.
