The Coalition Government has appointed lawyer Lavi Rokoika from the legal firm Rokoika Law to chair the iTaukei Lands and Fisheries Commission Review team.

After a tender process, the appointment was made earlier this month and the team is expected to commence work according to its terms of reference.

The Ministry of iTaukei Affairs said the team would be undertaking national and provincial consultation as part of its work.

The team will work on the consultation for three months before presenting its findings to the Minister for iTaukei Affairs for consideration by the iTaukei Affairs Board and Cabinet.
