BA FC scored a decisive goal in the final minutes to secure a 1-0 victory over Nadi FC in Round 16 of the Digicel Premier League in Ba yesterday.

Both teams started strongly under the scorching sun, adhering to their game plans.

Nadi enjoyed more possession and applied pressure on Ba, leading to Kalaveti Sivoi receiving a yellow card in the 16th minute.

Despite the pressure, both teams showcased solid defence, resulting in a 0-0 draw at halftime.

The match saw a gutsy performance from Ba in the second half culminating in Etonia Dogolau scoring the winning goal in the 88th minute.

Ba held their composure to finish the match 1-0.

Winning Ba coach Timoci Seru acknowledged his players for a good game and believes they needed the three points yesterday.

“We had a slow start in the first half but the boys came back strongly in the second half and utilise their opportunities well and they know we needed the three points,” Seru said.

Meanwhile Nadi coach Varoon Karan believes they missed few chances which allowed Ba to score.

“We will work on those weak areas before we take on Rewa next week,” Karan said.
