The 2024 Fiji Golf Open Championship is setting the stage for a weekend filled with not only high-stakes competition but also generous rewards and great food.
The championship will be held from October 10-12 at the Fiji Golf Club in Suva.
With a cash prize of $10,000 up for grabs for professional alongside an additional $10,000 worth of prizes for amateur, the tournament promises to be one of the most lucrative golf events in Fiji this year.
Golf Fiji president Amitesh Chandra confirmed the best part of the prizes.
“These numbers may increase, adding even more excitement for those aiming to walk away as champions,” Chandra said.
A light lunch will be provided daily for all players, and to top it off, participants can enjoy opening and closing cocktails.
“On the course, golfers will be suited up in polo shirts provided by the tournament, along with sleeves of balls to ensure they’re ready for every shot.”
For just $250 in entry fees, golfers will have the chance to compete in this 54-hole stroke event, open to both men and women.
And for young golfers looking to make their mark, the first 10 junior entries are free.
With only 120 spots available, the competition is expected to be fierce.
Organized by Golf Fiji and recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking, the Fiji Golf Open Championship has already garnered attention from players and fans alike.
