THE Constitutional Offices Commission has begun the process to recruit a new Commissioner of Police.
The commission, in a vacancy notice, stated applicants for the post must demonstrate the ability to think strategically and be conscious of how the Fiji Police Force’s role was perceived publicly.
It stated the Commissioner of Police must be willing to work towards ensuring the Fiji Police Force was recognised as an accountable, transparent and non-corrupt organisation.
“A good public relations capacity is necessary including the ability to communicate openly and directly with all Fijians,” stated the vacancy.
“Applicants should be able to manage staff and resources with sensitivity and leadership qualities and be able to guide the Fiji Police Force towards achieving a standard of excellence which inspires public confidence.”
Applications close on September 30.
