Fiji Airways has renewed its partnership with the Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA) that offers discounted travel to FHTA members to attend international tourism roadshows and trade events.

The renewed memorandum of understanding (MoU) will also provide FHTA members with enhanced opportunities for collaboration, promotional activities and mutual support.

The agreement is designed to bolster the tourism sector by leveraging the combined strengths of FHTA and Fiji Airways, “ultimately contributing to growth, resilience and global competitiveness of Fiji’s tourism industry”.

FHTA chief executive officer Fantasha Lockington said the renewed MoU represented a pivotal moment for the association and the broader tourism sector.

“We eagerly anticipate continuing our collaboration with Fiji Airways and uncovering new opportunities to drive our sector forward,” Ms Lockington said.

Fiji Airways chief executive officer and managing director Andre Viljoen said this MoU would enhance their partnership and would bring about valuable benefits to all FHTA members.

“We’re excited to strengthen our collaboration and continue contributing to the growth of Fiji’s tourism industry,” Mr Viljoen said.

The previous MOU, which expired on July 31 last year, has been extended and updated through December 2025.

Previously available only to FHTA’s active members, including hotels, resorts, and dive and marine operators, the MoU has now been expanded to include all 131 members of FHTA.
