SIGATOKA couple Mohammed Naushad and Nazreen Nisha Khan who are jointly charged for the murder of an 18-year-old student will re-appear at the High Court in Lautoka tomorrow.
The duo are charged with one count of murder while Mr Naushad faces an additional count of criminal intimidation.
It is alleged the couple had forced the victim to ingest a chemical at a house in Maro, Sigatoka, on June 30, 2022.
They appeared before Justice Riyaz Hamza yesterday.
However, the State informed the Court that the complainant, who is the couple’s daughter, was having exams and not available yesterday as the main witness in the case.
Defence lawyer Iqbal Khan did not object to rescheduling the trial date to tomorrow.
The couple’s bail application was withdrawn in Court yesterday.
