TWO western schools have made the under-18 semi-finals of the Vodafone Super Deans.
Cuvu College and Ratu Navula College gave their fans all the reasons to celebrate as they dominated in Suva.
Cuvu College pulled off a 23-22 upset to deny eastern giants Ratu Kadavulevu School.
Ratu Navula staged a late second half comeback to end Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School’s dream run 16-10.
Nasinu Secondary School was the first team through to the last four after edging Tailevu North College 17-13.
Defending champions Queen Victoria School was taken to the deep water by Marist Brothers High School in the last quarter-final clash.
The boys from Matavatucou started off well to pile on 13 points on the board
Marist registered six points through the boots of Saiasi Fuli but time wasn’t on their side as QVS held on to win.
The results mean Nasinu will take on Cuvu College in the first semi-final while QVS will battle Ratu Navula College.
The semi-finals will be held in Suva next Saturday.
