Strong start for Suva, Lakeba, Kabara and Komo

SUVA, Lakeba, Kabara and Komo got off to a good start in Cricket Fiji’s inaugural Super 8 tournament which started at Albert Park yesterday.

The Capital side defeated Namuka by 28 runs in its opening match to lead the Pool 1 standings with three points.

Also with three points in Pool 1 is Kabara which thumped Ono-i-Lau with 91 runs.

Komo and Lakeba lead Pool 2 with three points each following their respective wins.

Lakeba beat Moce by 25 runs while Komo defeat Nadi by 192 runs.

The tournament continue today with Moce facing Nadi, Komo meeting Lakeba at Albert Park pitch one while Namuka plays Ono-i-Lau and Kabara battles Suva at Albert Park pitch two.

Matches on both pitches started at 7.30am.
