The Rooster Chicken Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament is shaping up to be an exciting event, with eight teams set to compete at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
The stakes are high, with $17,000 up for grabs for the tournament winners and $5000 for the runners-up.
In a move towards embracing technology, the Fiji Football Association’s chief executive, Mohammed Yusuf, has announced that ticket sales for the tournament will be available online for the first time.
“We are trying something new for the ticket sales, we’re going online this time to make it easier for you all, tickets will cost $20 for grandstand, $10 for kids, and also $10 for the concrete embankment or grass areas,” said Yusuf.
“The teams have been drawn into two evenly balanced pools to ensure a fair competition, with no overly challenging ‘pool of death’.”
In Group A, we have Suva, Rewa FC, Ba FC, and Nadroga FC. Group B will see Labasa FC facing off against Lautoka FC, Nadi FC, and Navua FC.
The tournament kicks off next Friday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva so get ready for some thrilling matches.
